Following the success of the inaugural She Means Business event held to celebrate International Women’s Day in March, Insight Financial Associates welcomed guests on 3rd July 2026 to its second Norwich women’s networking event, the She Means Business summer party.
Bringing together women in business from across Norwich and Norfolk, the event provided an opportunity to network, hear from inspiring speakers and support a fantastic local charity. Building on the momentum of the March event, the She Means Business summer party continued to strengthen the growing community of professional women who are using networking opportunities in Norwich to share experiences, build meaningful connections and support one another’s personal and professional growth.
As women’s networking in Norwich continues to grow, events such as She Means Business play an important role in creating a welcoming space where local businesswomen, entrepreneurs and professionals can connect, collaborate and celebrate success together.
Inspiring voices: money, mind & movement
This year’s theme, “Money, Mind & Movement,” was brought to life by two fantastic guest speakers who each shared their expertise and personal perspectives:
Carla Tucker – Independent Financial Adviser
Carla Tucker, Independent Financial Adviser at Insight Financial Associates, delivered a fascinating talk centred around the importance of safeguarding the financial futures of young people who may inherit or acquire significant wealth early in life.
Drawing on her experience in wealth management for professional athletes, Carla shared real-world insights into the challenges that can arise when substantial wealth is accumulated at a young age. She spoke about the importance of education, planning and strong support networks in helping young people make informed financial decisions and remain resilient against outside influences that may not always have their best interests at heart.
Her talk highlighted the responsibility that comes with wealth and the value of trusted guidance, sparking meaningful conversations amongst attendees about financial wellbeing, family planning and long-term security.
Morgan Oliver-Abery – Online Coach & Personal Trainer
Morgan spoke about the connection between physical wellbeing and professional success, encouraging attendees to prioritise both mental and physical health.
She shared how pursuing her passions has enabled her to create a career that aligns with her values and brings genuine fulfilment. She also reflected on the crucial role played by the people around her, emphasising how the encouragement and support of those who care about us can help provide the confidence needed to grow personally and professionally.
Her refreshing perspective resonated strongly with attendees, serving as a reminder that success doesn’t have to follow a traditional path and that personal happiness can be one of the most important measures of achievement. The talk was full of actionable advice and positive energy, reminding everyone that success looks different for everyone and balance is key.
Together, these sessions perfectly reflected the evening’s theme, giving attendees valuable takeaways they can apply both professionally and personally.
The power of women’s networking in Norwich
Events like She Means Business highlight just how powerful the Norwich business community is, particularly when women come together to support each other.
Networking in a welcoming and inclusive space allows:
- New collaborations and partnerships to form
- Ideas and experiences to be shared openly
- Confidence to grow in both personal and professional settings
- A genuine sense of community to develop
At Insight Financial Associates, we believe that strong networks help people make more confident decisions, in business and beyond. Seeing so many women connect, uplift one another, and share their journeys is exactly what makes these events so valuable.
Summer atmosphere, creativity & local flavours
Alongside the inspiring talks and networking opportunities, guests enjoyed a relaxed summer evening filled with live music, great food, creativity and the chance to support talented local businesses.
Attendees were treated to delicious food from Bertie’s Wood Fired Pizza, whose freshly prepared pizzas added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Guests could also purchase a selection of cakes and sweet treats from Binge on Bakes, providing the perfect accompaniment to an evening of conversation and connection.
Supporting local independent businesses was an important part of the event, with KHK Jewellery showcasing its beautiful collection of tarnish-free, hypoallergenic stainless-steel jewellery. The jewellery proved a popular talking point throughout the evening, highlighting another successful female-led business within the local community.
Adding a unique and interactive element to the event, attendees were invited to contribute to a collaborative piece of artwork on a blank canvas. Throughout the evening, guests added their own creative touches, resulting in a colourful collective masterpiece that reflected the spirit of the event: individual women coming together to create something greater than the sum of its parts.
The combination of networking, local businesses, creativity and great food created a vibrant and memorable evening, encouraging conversations to continue long after the presentations had finished and giving attendees the opportunity to build meaningful connections in a relaxed setting.

Supporting Little Lifts
As with all She Means Business events, supporting the local community remained at the heart of the evening. Donations were welcomed for Little Lifts, a fantastic charity that provides thoughtful care packages to people undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed. Every donation helps make a meaningful difference, providing comfort and support to those who need it most.
